Fire!

Suddenly there was a loud beeping. Lauren looked around, shocked, and noticed the fire alarm on the roof of her apartment blinking red.

Lauren sighed in annoyance, assuming this to be a false alarm. Unfortunately she then smelled the distinctive and worrying smell of smoke. This turned her annoyance to instinctual fear. A fire! Forgetting everything Lauren ran for the door.

Lauren burst from her apartment. Outside she saw the other tenants all filing out of their rooms and heading to the parking lot. Lauren followed, feeling panic.

"Look, smoke!"

Lauren turned and saw there was in fact smoke coming from the apartment complex. She ran down the stairs, struggling to catch her breath. She heard distant sirens, and her neighbors commenting on this shocking event. It was only then Lauren realized her situation. She was outdoors, standing amongst all the other tenants at her apartment complex, wearing a schoolgirl uniform!

Instantly Lauren flushed, tugging down at her undersized skirt. She prayed nobody would notice her, or if they did that they wouldn't recognize her...
