Find a Job

Between pursuing the town notice boards and job leads discovered by your family it seems that there are 5 main areas one can go job hunting in the city:

First is the most demeaning yet easiest job to get heading down to one of the brothels. If you think you have what it takes to make a clients sick fantasies come true this can be quite the profitable business. On the other hand you're not certain your family would ever forgive you if they discovered your new occupation.

Second is to head down to the Markets. Here you can find employment as a laborer representing one of the stalls or as an assistant for one of the market shops perhaps even learning to run your own business in time. That being said when it comes to business contracts in Camelot one must be careful.

Third is to head down to the Adventurer's Guild and see about getting training to become a defender of the realm. You could train to be a knight, a spy, or even a mage putting your services toward making Camelot a safer place. Such a position would definitely help with upward mobility but would be inherently dangerous. Unproven as you are there's no telling how long you would survive the rigors.

Fourth you could try getting a job in one of the city's many taverns. You could simply apply for a position as a server or entertainer and make a living in the service industry. The pay here wouldn't be extraordinary but it would be steady. Of course there are rumors of dealings perhaps you could find an introduction to the city's underworld in such a place. Not the most honorable or safest way to make a living but you could make a fortune if you can learn the trade and have enough luck.

Finally you could ask your Brother to introduce you to someone in the Artisans Guild for an apprenticeship in the ways of crafting. It would annoy you to feel indebted to him but it would allow you steady work and the training necessary to craft your own premium goods for sale in time. Also it is a seemingly safe profession though some Master Craftsmen have been known to be harsher on their assistants than others.
