The Market

The market is only sparsely populated this early in the morn but this stalls are already set up and open overflowing with exotic colors and smells.

You wander the various stalls and ask each seller in turn if there are any job openings.

"Aye, ye can come tend our orchards if ye strong enough," a pretty red haired lass tells you as she bends over to lift a basket of her crimson red product up onto the stand shelves. She's your age and although slim in the chest has an ass that reminds you of the large juicy apples she sells. Sadly the view doesn't last long till she's turning around with a crooked grin and a ripe red apple the size of your fist.

"Here, consider it a sample. If ye decide ye wan't to help us harvest such a project come over to the fields west of the city. You thank her for her time and gift, telling her that you may follow up on the offer.

The only other offer you get comes from a dark skinned man selling trinkets from a far away land. He gives you a broad grin when you timidly ask him for work. His teeth are shocking white against his dark complexion and his eyes twinkle with some unspoken mischief.

"Yes. I have a job for you." His words are thickly accented in a way your unfamiliar with, but his deep voice is somehow entrancing.

"What is it?" you ask finally snapping out of your observations.

He grins again as he says "I'd like you to be my personal servant. You'd come live at my home tend to some basic house work and moreover deliver messages and attend to other errands while I am tending the stall. Can you read?"

You shake your head.

"It's alright, the position doesn't require it though perhaps I could teach you in time."

You thank the man for the offer and go to sit upon a barrel considering your options.
