Find Laura and Catch this Predator

“Thanks for the offer, man, but I’m going to try my luck the regular way,” you say, giving the dealer a pat on the back.

Calling him out alone here at the side of the bar isn’t going to do you any good. You need to find somebody who will help you shut down this asshole before he can do any real damage. And who better for that than Laura?

The beautiful brunette bartender is busy mixing drinks and attending to orders, cheerfully making smalltalk with the buzzed and crunk patrons at the bar. She’s dressed in a low-cut white top, the black bartender’s vest doing nothing to hide her cleavage. She’s making a killing, flirting with the guys she’s serving, the tip jar well on its way to being stuffed for the night.

“Hey{if Laura > 5} Alex{endif}, what can I get for you?” she asks, sliding over to you as she approaches the bar.

“Nothing for now,” you say, earning a raised eyebrow from her. “But listen, there’s something that I need your help with.”

“Tell me about it,” she says, leaning forwards on an arm, taking a swig of some dark brown liquor.

“See that guy by the back?” you say, subtly gesturing at him. “He uh… he just tried to sell me roofies.”

Laura blinks a couple times, and then a dark expression crosses her face.

“What a shithead,” she mutters under her breath. “You sure he had the stuff on him?”

“He was practically waving it in my face,” you say. “Alone, I didn’t know if I could take him on, but you—”

“I’ve got just the thing for assholes like him,” she says, rummaging under the bar. A second later, she pulls out a small vial of clear liquid, giving it a good shake.

“What are we supposed to do with that?” you ask. “**** him back?”

“Just some chemical magic,” she says with a tired smile. “I’ll slip a drop into each drink I make tonight, and if any of them change color… we’ll know who’s been targeted. Damn, I hate the nights when this is necessary.”

You nod, inwardly curious about the chemistry behind the solution, but you decide to ask the more relevant question instead: “And the guy? We’re just going to let him walk free?”

“No fucking way,” Laura says with a shake of her head. “Have you let the bouncers know yet? They’ll take care of him, and with any luck, we’ll catch all the other fuckers with my vial.”

“I’m on it,” you say, getting up from the bar.

“Thanks for the tip,” she smiles, brightening up ever so slightly.

The bouncers make quick work of the roofie dealer, the two jacked guys storming into the bar and lifting him by his shirt. His weak protests turn to pleading mewls when they shake him down and find the baggie on him, which they promptly trash before kicking his ass to the curb.

Meanwhile, back inside, you have a jolly old time hanging by the bar, enjoying the unlimited free drinks that Laura’s happy to serve you. A seductive smile is never far from her lips whenever she comes your way, the promise of something good soon to come. Over the course of the night, two girls talking with a group of guys find their drinks suddenly turn blue, and they freak out, dumping their drinks on the would-be rapists. After another quick chat with the bouncers, those guys are kicked out the bar too, and the ChiO blacklist gains that many more names.

All told, you have a pretty good time, well and truly drunk, hanging by the bar and trying (and mostly failing) to flirt with the perfect 10s that swing by. But it’s no matter, because as the clock pushes late, Laura suddenly gets out from behind the bar. Still dressed in her bartender’s uniform, she places a hand on your shoulder and whispers in your ear: “My shift’s over, and your good deed deserves a reward. Let’s go someplace else.”
