Chapter 3

What's happening?!
Fang, Kitten's "Boyfriend?"
Downtown Jump City was the location of a crime: Fang, the half-spider, half-human had shoplifted several karats of jewelry and wore them around his arms and neck, laughing with triumph. "These should get that spoiled Kitten to do anything I want." But he didn't even get enough time to gloat, for the jewelry were removed from his arms by Raven's darkness powers. Robin gave his warning, pointing at him.
"You can't buy love, Fang. But you're still gonna pay..."
"To Kitten, this shows how much we love each other," Fang retorted. He shot out his strong, sticky webbing at them, which the Titans easily avoided. Robin called out, 'Titans, go!' and they did what they could to bring him down. Beast Boy was up first, turning into a hawk and dive-bombed him several time to disorient or confuse him. Fang shot out several small violet beams of his paralyzing poison, each one missed as Hawk Boy banked around, then he turned into an octopus and latched onto the spider part of his quarry. He was stuck on Fang and despite being constantly tugged, he tried to stay on until he saw Cyborg ready to fire, and that's when he turned into a hummingbird to get out of the way when a sonic blast hit the spider-guy into a brick wall.
With a groan, he recovered and tried shooting his webbings again. Cyborg flipped backwards and forwards, away from at least 7 or 8 of them before being hit by the poison a split second after the last webbing. He couldn't move and fell to the ground by gravity, feeling helpless right then as he watched his team battle without him. Robin threw a couple of birdarangs to get Fang closer to the ground, and that's when he engaged him in hand-to-hand combat. Fang was good at evading some of Robin's punches, giving some of his, while others he simply blocked. He moved to the side, avoiding Robin's latest cross punch to shoot webbing and had him strongly pinned to the pavement.
Next up was Raven, using her telekinetic powers to grab anything nearby to throw at him. He avoided them all, but then she had the idea of bending fallen streetlamp around his arachnid legs and slow him down. It worked! But Fang then fired poison at her, only for her to block it with her darkness barrier. He kept firing, and all the while, was freeing himself bit by bit. Beast Boy came back and became a rhino, charging right at the human-spider. But his attention was diverted to the beast instead, firing poison to slow him, at least, and finally shooting his web at his front legs. Beast Boy toppled over and rolled on the ground and through the air as he became his humanoid self again, and finally stopped. "Oh, man..." he groaned, spirals in his eyes from dizziness.
Raven had taken the distraction to disappear underground and vanish from Fang's sight. He looked around for where she might pop up next, but he didn't get the chance; 3 thin red strands of energy ensnared him, pulling him into an alley next to him. The Titans, save Garfield, were confused and went to investigate the space between buildings, and they found a tall figure hiding in the shadows at the end of it. "Who are you?" Robin demanded, but didn't get a response except for familiar long appendages sprouting out of his back and used them to jump between and walk up walls, disappearing from sight.
"Who was that strange creature?" Star asked.
"A better question would be..." Raven began, to which Robin finished,
"What did he do with Fang...?"
