FOC Day 10 - Move Max

"OK," you say. "You got it?"

"I got it," Max says with a smile, giving you a thumbs up.

You break and get back in the game. There's not much time to worry about the decision you made. You and Lara are totally focused on fighting your way up and making an opening for Aki to put her sniper skills to work.

The army girls cut loose, break through, and all but run over Sheva to score a goal. Now Viti and Sheva are both shaken. Your disadvantage is growing, and you wonder if they did that in response to you moving Max.

Sun comes through for you, stealing the ball from Shep, then outrunning her to get the ball to you. Meghan, a blonde defender on Green Team, senses danger and comes at you hard. You try to dodge, but it's a bad hit.

You find yourself on the ground, seeing stars. Your team is rushing over, and you realize that your top and your sports bra are both pushed up, exposing your chest to everyone on the field, and the cameras. You blush, still blinking stars away, and yank them down into place. Did Meghan do that on purpose? Bitch. There's no whistle.

Lara helps you up.

"Are you good?" Tiff asks.

"Yes," you say, pissed off, but still able to play. You wisely let Lara take the lead, and it doesn't go well for a while, until Sun makes another move and passes to Aki, who makes an incredible shot. It's tied up, and you're running out of time.

But... this is good. Ties are good. The army girls are tough, not accurate. You can beat them in a shootout. You just have to stall for time.

They realize what you're up to and get even more brutal. Elena has to run herself ragged trying to protect your midfield. The army girls make a plan to keep her busy and tire her out, and Shep slips past, heading for Max. Shep isn't big, and she's not as brutal as the army girls, but she's definitely an aggressive athlete like you. Kind of the opposite of Max.

But Max isn't worried. She effortlessly steals it from her and passes it to you. You just belt it up the field as the clock runs down, and you end in the tie.

You give Aki the first shot in the shootout and she nails it. The shootout is a total blowout. Pink Team wins.

All the tension from past few days come out. The girls jump and scream excitedly, and though the audience is not big, they make plenty of noise. Tiff is super happy.

A bottle of water is pushed into your hands, and you go straight to your interview with Moxxi and Lulu. You give all the credit to your team, and compliment Green Team too... that's how it's done.

After that you text your family, then join the other girls to shower off and get going... FUTA wastes no time. They want the girls out of camp for the weekend. The winners are immediately being bussed to the Lodge, and the losers are getting on a bus to go... wherever they are going.

Everyone is worn out. They all talked big about what they were going to do at the Lodge... get in the pool, or try to go shopping and stuff... but all anyone can do is drink water and take it easy.

For dinner, you get food that is way better than the food at camp. It's like a feast... It's really nice, and the positive energy in your team is huge after the win. FUTA can be stressful, but it can also be really fun. There are so many selfies happening, but those are the only cameras... after the photo sessions and interviews after the game, FUTA kept its promise. For the weekend, you have privacy. The three winning teams at the Lodge make it feel full, but not crowded. Everyone is in a good mood.

You take your bag upstairs in the Lodge and find Max already in the room, sitting on her bed with an old-fashioned instant camera in her hands. She holds it up and smiles at you.

"Can I take your picture?" she asks.

"Um, sure," you say. You're still sweaty and gross from the game. You were going to take a shower.

Max snaps a picture, and it prints immediately.

"Thanks," she says. The way that taking a picture seems to give her so much pleasure is really cute.

"That steal was insane," you say as you pull off your uniform and throw it in your laundry bag. Max blushes and looks up, sees you in your underwear, and looks away.

"Just lucky," she replies modestly.

You take your shower, then she does, and you go down for dinner. Everybody's buzzing with positive energy. You, Max, and Aki are the stars. Aki is so cool about everything, but she still reacts every time she gets a butt pat from a teammate. Well, if she doesn't want the girls to do that she shouldn't play so well.

As you eat, you think to yourself that you really lucked out with this team. They're really good.

You're wondering what to say to Max. Everyone's tired and you're having dinner right now, so you can't exactly ask her out... at least not tonight.

"You want to watch this movie with them?" she asks you. She's not shy, and she's not acting shy, but there's just something about the way she looks and talks that makes everything *seem* a little shy. Some of the other girls are going to go be lazy in the main room while movies play.

"Sure," you say. It's easy when she's the one asking you.
