Explore the courtyard.

You decide to get some fresh air after all that cleaning and walk out the front doors of your manor, and down along the road leading to the gates. The fresh air greets your nose with the pleasant scent of grass and flowers, and the sun is comforting on your skin. You find yourself wandering around the front yard until you step between the opened gates and gaze down the street, wondering who else lives in the area. It's definitely a hightown-type neighbourhood, though you reckon there's areas of actual mansions elsewhere in the city.

As you ponder, you notice people walking down the street. Three guards are escorting two familiar faces. It's Pepper and Ginny, the bunnyfolk that tried to rob you! It seems like they've finally been caught.

One of the guards turns to you as they pass, who so happens to be a dwarf. He speaks in a deep, gruff tone. "Don't worry, sir. These criminals are going to be promptly locked up and judged for their crimes."

"What kind of crimes?" you ask.

"Petty theft, and lots of it. They'll probably sit in the dungeons for a month or two, so they can think about what they've done."

The two girls look to you and blush.

"It's him," Pepper whispers.

"Oh. I think I remember him, but my memory is fuzzy. All I remember is--Oh gods."

"Did he...?"

They look to each other and grow flustered.

The dwarf perks a brow. "Who covered you in what now?"

You speak up. "Uh. Probably just trying to trick you into letting them go. I've seen thieves before."

"You're probably right." The dwarf pushes them from the back. "Get a move on. Quit yappin'."
