Evie makes the situation worse

Evie had been keeping pace with the informer for several minutes now, it seemed he was in no hurry to get to his destination, he had stopped once or twice to buy a newspaper or glance through a shop window but always then continued on his was staying at a slow pace, knowing that she was probably going to be following him for a while Evie sighed.

It seemed the informer was continuing in a straight direction down the main street so Evie decided to out pace him a few buildings where she could sit watch and wait. Crouching down near the builing edge Evie balanced herself with her right hand and watched, the informer at his current speed would take a minute of two so making use of the time Evie inspected the hole on her trousers, the hole wasn't that big but it showed enough of Evie's thigh that she decided she'd best stay on the rooftops out of sight. Glancing at her informer every few seconds Evie began absent mindely picking at a small loose thread around the hole, after a minute she noticed her informer start to walk down an alley between two builings on the opposite side of the street, aiming the grappling hook on her bracer towards the building opposite Evie fired.

The alley the informer walked into was in currently in the shade and Evie couldnt see him from her position on the roof, despite her **** she would have to get down to street level.

Luckily just below her was a wooden scaffold that led straight into the alley, dropping down onto it Evie noticed it wobbled slightly but dismising it Evie began to climb down its side again it wobbled and this time Evie almost fell as it did, steadying herself she saw that she was close enough to the ground to simply drop down so thats what she did. As Evie landed she heard a rip and looking down she saw that now her entire left thigh was exposed. Unbeknownst to Evie when she had been fiddling with with the threads on her trousers a few had gotten caught on the grapple mechanism on her bracer and as the grappling hook had shot across the street the tear on her trousers had gotten bigger, as she climbed down the scaffold it had gotten caught on a rough edge, when Evie dropped down the hole ripped right down to the stitching on the side of her trousers ripping them in half, looking up Evie saw what remained of her left trouser leg firmly caught on the scaffolding.

Blushing Evie sighed at her bad luck but knew she couldn't let it stp her, her overcoat was quite long and went down to just below her knee so buttoning it closed would fix her problem for now. Meanwhile her informer had walked across the alley to the other and was now standing on another busy street seemingly waiting to cross the road, deciding not to worry about her clothing problem for now Evie started to follow him on foot not realizing this was about to lead her to another clothing mishap.
