Pen continued to watch the house as Penny sat down with a contented sigh. Without taking her eyes off the back door, she asked a series of questions.

"Penny, can you tell me right now if you're in any physical pain or discomfort?"

"Hmm?" the other woman asked foggily. "Oh, no, I don't really get pain anymore. It's really nice. You should try it!"

"Maybe later," Pen responded. "I need you to think hard, though. I know nothing bothers you, but can you tell if your body is experiencing anything that would have bothered you before, right?"

Penny lay back in the soft grass with a sigh and closed her eyes. "I think I'm hungry. Yeah... I'm definitely feeling hunger. And I gotta pee."

"You mean you don't just go to the bathroom when you need to?" Pen asked incredulously. "Please pull down your pants and underwear and go out here."

"Ok," Penny said and complied woozily. "I usually do, except sometimes Matt thinks it's funny to make me shit and piss in my pants. With all this running around I suppose I just forgot." She giggled a little. "I'm really forgetful."

"Jesus Christ, what did he do to us?" Pen muttered.

"He made me get the booster. It was awesome!" Penny said as pulled up her pants. "I seriously feel so good now, Pen."

"Other than being ravenous," Pen responded sarcastically, but Penny just nodded. "Now, can you please see what options there are for perception in my tablet? I'd like to get a sense of our surroundings."

"We're in the woods," Pen said helpfully as she picked up the tablet. "Huh, let's see... there's so much here! Ooh, watch this!"

"Penny, don't!" Pen said in a deep, sonorous voice. "Stop messing with me!"

"You sound like Billie Holiday!" Penny laughed, still messing with the tablet.

"Put it back and tell me if you see anything related to hearing or vision," Pen grumbled in her new contralto. Penny giggled.

"Maybe we can play with it later. Uh, let's see... here's perception. Is that what we want?" Pen nodded and she opened the menu. "Vision, auditory, somatosensory-"

"Slide all of them all the way to the right," Pen commanded and Penny started moving her fingers along the surface.
