Erica wants to get back to the game

"I think it's Cathy's turn to T&D someone," Erica said, tossing back the last swallow of her punch.

"All right, since you're so interested in the game," Cathy said, "you're next. Truth or Dare?"

"Dare. I always pick Dare."

"All right then, I dare you to... hmm, let me see here..."

Cathy sat in silence for a while.

"You know," Erica said, "the rules I've always played by say that if you can't think of something in two minutes, the girl you picked gets to truth-or-dare you."

"Okay, okay! Um, I dare you to... kiss Jo!"

"Is that all?" Erica smiled. "No problem."

"Excuse me?" said Jo. "Don't I get a say in this?"

"Hey, you didn't seem to have a problem touching my breasts, I figured you wouldn't have a problem with this. And, no, you don't get a say in it. This game was your idea and you get to live with the conquesenses. I mean, conshecenses. Quonsetences. You have to deal with it!"

"Someone's a little drunk," Anita said playfully.

"All right then," Erica said, standing up.

"You'll have to come to me," Jo said. "I don't navigate too well when I'm drunk."

"Oh, I don't mind," Erica replied. She stepped over her sister's legs, stumbled briefly against Allison ("sorry") and sat down on the sofa next to Jo. "Ready?" she asked.

If anyone had glanced at Suki, they would have noticed she was sitting with her chin dropped and her eyes wide as if she couldn't believe the whole situation.

"As I'll ever be," Jo replied.

"Then let's do it." Erica closed her eyes and gently tipped Jo's chin up to meet her lips. It was a gentle touch at first, and then Erica put her hands on Jo's shoulder's and pulled her closer. Jo didn't seem to mind, and even put her arms around Erica's neck to return the embrace.

"Okay, that's enough," Cathy didn't say. She tried to, but was too flabbergasted to speak. She had expected Erica to give Jo a little peck on the lips, not this sensual, long kiss. What was more, she seemed to be parting her lips slightly, as if to slip her tongue into Jo's mouth...

Then she pulled away. It almost looked like Jo wasn't ready for her to, but she unwrapped her arms from Erica's shoulders and settled back onto the couch. Her expression was hard to read through her sunglasses, but it was definitely one of more than a little surprise, and perhaps a bit of confusion.

"Mmm... you're a great kisser, Jo," Erica said with a grin.

There was a moment's silence in the room.

"Damn, honey, I don't think any of us expected that!" Allison exclaimed.

It broke up the room. Everyone collapsed into giggles. Even Suki seemed to snap out of her shock, but her cheeks were bright red and she still seemed unable to really take the whole thing in stride.

Erica recovered first. "Okay, I guess it's my turn then. But I think I'll pass the buck to Sam, if no one objects."

"Works for me," Jo said, her voice a bit hoarse but otherwise controlled.
