Erica ignores the phone call.

No, she couldn't bring herself to answering the phone. She didn't hang up, but let it ring and go to voicemail. Lisa was nothing if not persistent, though. Erica's phone started ringing again. This was bad. She didn't want Lisa to get mad at her. Who knew what Lisa would do if she was actually upset?

After the second call, Lisa didn't try to call again. Erica didn't receive a text message from her either. Trying to ignore the build-up of stress, she tried to return to her shopping, but it was hard to focus. Her mind kept drifting, thinking of what the repercussions of her actions would be.
