Erica's mom wants an explanation.

It was difficult for Erica to read her mother's face, but it looked like she was considering throwing her out of the house again. Clearly, there were competing thoughts coursing through her mind, so Erica prayed. She prayed with every fiber of her being that she would finally catch a break that day. When it appeared that a decision had been made, the underwear-clad daughter held her breath in anticipation of the decision that had been made.

"Alright Erica, you can stay." It was said calmly, but the look on her face was dead serious. "You have exactly 30 seconds to tell me what the hell is going on! Why were you running around buck naked. Again!"

Erica gulped. She was going to have to be completely honest, no matter how crazy it might sound. When her mother was upset, it was best not to lie to her. She'd given her an opening to lay everything out on the table and it could be the only opportunity to explain and fix everything. "Alright, but you have to understand, everything I'm about to tell you, it's completely true. Every fact! I would never do this stuff on my own if I had any choice."

Her facial expression did not change, but she nodded. "Now you have 20 seconds to tell me what the hell is going on." She motioned for Erica to continue.

"Ok...well you know how I was going to help Alicia get the boys from the airport? Well, I took a shower to get ready and then I heard Alicia knocking at the door so I wrapped a towel about myself and opened it to tell her I needed a few more minutes, but she interrupted me and said we were late so she grabbed me and dragged me outside! I was so shocked that I lost control of my towel and it dropped on the floor where you probably found it. Before I could say anything else, she had me naked in her car and started driving down the road..."

"That doesn't explain why you were running around naked in public where the neighbors could see," her mom interrupted.

"I had ****," Erica cried out with tears in her eyes. "Alicia wasn't going to stop the car and I was having a panic attack, so I jumped. I jumped out of a moving car, Mom, because I had to get back here. To get back to my clothes!"
