Episode 1: The Orc Invasion of a Farming Valley

"This one came in from The Human Kingdom of Deirdre." Cesar shows the rest of the guild the scroll, with a wax seal of the corresponding kingdom--which seemed to signify its authentication. From past experience, Cesar & Janissa always made sure messages were authentic, as they had run into counterfeit ones designed to put them in the wrong direction. "Their farming serfdom have come under attack by an army of Orcs. Although none of their scouts or any of the surviving farmers have been able to identify which clan or clans are attacking, Deirdre is close to some Orcish Domains."

"Do you believe a group of Orc clans call 'The Sabretooth Triad' could be behind this latest invasion?" Cat looks to Cesar, his small hands fiddling with some various lockpicks. "I've been reading rumors from the Deirdre merchants that the Triad clan lords have been building up their armies for another attempt to take the farming valley."

"It is a possibility, Cat," Cesar looks to the rogue, "but so far, there has been no confirmations on which clan or clans are orchestrating the latest invasion attempt. What is known is that this is the 4th attempt on the valley in the last 12 years, and the Deirdre garrisons are still relatively depleted from the previous invasion."

"And there has been no intelligence coming from within the Orcish Domain of Duborvya." Deraxle adds in. "Because of that, noone has any idea of what's been happening among the various Orc clans in the domain. This latest invasion could be anything. I believe a recon of the valley, and the border between Deirdre & Duborvya would be a good starting point, if we take up the contract."

"Yes. Getting the Deirdre army involved too early would make the kingdom **** from any further attack, especially if all of the Orc clans are involved." Cesar nodded. "Also, their allies are occupied with other conflicts, so Deirdre are basically on their own. If we get involved, then we must do this with complete care. Recon and intelligence gathering would be priority-one with this contract. After that, we can work with the Deirdre Queen on any further action."

"A good, starting plan, Cesar." Janissa smiles, reaching out to stroke his shoulder. "Well, then, shall we get started?"
