Chapter 3 by dearnise dearnise

Should they travel to Deirdre right away? Or get their sexual needs sated beforehand?

Travel to Deirdre

One of the benefits of having a Draconian in a guild, is that the travel time across parts of this vast super-earth is shortened by simply riding on a Draconian, as he flies high up in the air, in dragon form. The mood is calm and collective, as the guild fly northward, towards the Human kingdom. Nestled on top of a mesa, Deirdre has four mountain trails that goes down into the fertile valleys below. Open land goes out for 5 clicks in each direction before being broken by forests or other mountain ranges, allowing for early detection of invaders or other raiders. Further north, though, plumes of smoke can be seen, a signal of the location of the farming valley, where the Orcs have been invading.

Cesar raises up the flag of the guild, the image of a gray wolf's head that stares right at the viewer, with a dark red background. It was a signal of their impending arrival, as one of the royal guards scramble to wave their own flag, marking a landing spot for Deraxle, which others scramble to clear. With precision, Deraxle descends down onto the royal keep's grounds in the southern end of the city, landing squarely on the spot. Then the guild members hop off, grabbing their gear, then clear a spot to allow Deraxle to shift into his humanoid form, and fix his sorcerer robes.

A few minutes later, a group of the royal guards bring the guild members to the royal court. There, they could see the human ruling family of four sitting on their thrones. The king & queen look to be in their upper 40's or low 50's, with graying hair and aging wrinkles forming on their faces. The older child, their princess, looks to be 18, with long-flowing brown locks, and light brown eyes that look to them. The younger soon looks to be right around 12, with black hair inherited from the father, and blue eyes inherited from the mother. Other members of the court are there, as well as some of the city's stationed merchants, nobles, and the few farmers that have managed to escape the Orc's wrath.

Formal greetings are exchanged between the ruling family, and Cesar & Janissa. The other members of the court are introduced next, then the merchants, and then the escaped farmers. The ensuing dinner and discussion is full of the briefings on the situation up north, even though food supply has been reasonably shortened with the invasion. With that done, the guild settles into the guest wing of the keep to begin preparations. Though, as they do that, Cesar & Janissa begin preparing the tables and chairs, then settle in so that they could bring in those that have any information pertaining to the details of the invasion.

Who should they summon?
