Enter the Coven

As you step into the cave, your eyes take a moment to readjust- the doors slam shut behind you, sending you teetering forward, but you quickly come to your wits, regain your footing, and take to the shadows.

Sneaking through the cave, you see Witch after Witch, (and the occasional Demon) going about their business, marching amidst the unknowably complex cave. Luckily for you, the only light sources here seem to be enchanted flames in torches along the walls, giving you plenty of space to operate in dark corners.

Still, you freeze as you hear voices coming up, and peek slowly into the room that follows. Here, a number of woman are bathing in what seems to be a natural hotspring- laughing together, a few of the young witches seem to be having a good time.

Your thoughts are interrupted by the sound of marching behind you, and only just in the nick of time do you make it back behind the blind spot before a group of mighty demons stomp into the room with the girls.

You peer in. The girls, previously enjoying themselves in a warm bath, are now lined up on the cold-to-the-touch stone floor. They slowly fall to their knees, murmering amongst themselves and casting mean looks at the pleased demons- Bathtime ruined, cold air on their bare skin, kneeling like a common whore, the witches' mouths are taken by the demons, a deal you can only imagine fills them with an ironic rage. They'd all set off to escape a life beholden to manhood, after all.

You take this chance to grab a discarded robe. You're hesitant to leave your armor behind, but fitting in is going to be important- you're lucky to have made it as far as you did dressed like a Hunter. While the witches are extravagant with bracelets, anklets, necklaces of twig bone and anything else they can find, you will have to do with nothing but the black robe for now.

You miss your boots immediately as you step onto the cold, stone floor, but you gather yourself and set your mind to work- it's time to find the Witchmother.
