Chapter 721 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Enter Rose's Bud.

You limp inside and peer around the room nervously. Most of the faces around were present last time. As your party moves towards the counter, all eyes are pointed in your direction, especially from the redhead cleaning glasses up ahead. As Vivi stumbles, you put your arm around her and tug her in close. You can see a faint pink in her cheeks as she glances up towards you. Then once you reach the counter, you plop her down and reach for your coins--nothing is there.

Fang places a few coins on the counter instead. "Please feed this adorable girl before she keels over."

"Wait. My stuff." You start frantically patting yourself over. "You did manage to grab everything when you retrieved the keys, right Fang? Lala? I mean, you wouldn't have left all my belongings on the table surely."

You hear a gulp from Fang as she slowly turns away. "So, are you all right, Vivi?"

Vivi nods. "I'll be better soon... Thank you."

"You mean my sword is back in the dungeon?!" you shout with hands on your head.

You feel a pat on your head. When you turn, Lala is standing there with a nervous smile.

"We'll get you a new one," she says.

"... I can't believe this," you mutter. "That wasn't just an ordinary sword, you know."

Vivi turns to face you. She pokes a finger into each of her cheeks and says, "Well, you traded the sword for me, right? Isn't that worth it?"

I'm too tired to argue. Though she is adorable, so I'm not sure how much I'd want to anyway... God damn it. Everything happened so fast I didn't even think to search for my stuff either. I'd probably have to have shoved my way through guards, but--Whatever! I can't think about that right now. There are more pressing matters.

The red-haired bartender looks deadpanned between your party. "The food is coming right up, but you all look like you've been through a nightmare."

You sigh. "Yeah. I hope you don't mind is crashing here for awhile again."

"As long as you have money." She gives you a smirk. "But otherwise, of course not."

"Ah. Kyle?" Lala tugs on your sleeve. "I'd like to speak with you in private. I'm sure a lot has happened since the last time we met, to both of us. Would you mind finding a room with me so we can discuss?"

The barkeep leans on her arm and eyes you over. "One room, free of charge. Go ahead."

You look back surprised. "I thought you liked money."

"Everyone likes money, but I'm feeling generous. One time. It's never happening again. Now hurry up. You shouldn't ever leave a girl waiting."

You look back to Vivi. Delphi has sat herself down on the counter in front of her. Fang and the two are discussing what happened today, but there's a relief that washes over the group, despite still being deep in enemy territory.

"All right," you say to Lala. "Let's talk then. Lead the way."

What do you do?
