Enough is enough

Sam just stared at Dr. Ling's body for several minutes before breaking out of his daze. He had to know what else had changed in the world. Looking over at the pile of scrap he was supposed to be cleaning he came up with an excuse. "Hey... uhhhh... Dr. Ling, I forgot I have an appointment to get to today. Mind if I head out now to make it on time? I can finish cleaning the rest up tomorrow." Sam said hoping she would agree.

Without even looking up the doctor waved her huge arm signaling to Sam that she didn't care that he left. Glad she was caught in her work, Sam left her office. Walking through the halls of the lab was a different experience now. The bare white walls of the hallways were now lined with framed articles of Dr. Ling's successes. Many of her inventions now revolved around making her own life easier. The hover craft she used for mobility being one of her favorite inventions.

Making it to the front door Sam walked down to the bus stop. He didn't want to go home yet, he just couldn't risk taking another picture of Dr. Ling. Atleast not until he had a firm understanding of how the device worked.

After a few minutes of waiting, a bus rolled to a stop and the doors swung open. Sam was relieved that nothing seemed like it had changed outside of Dr. Ling, atleast nothing immediately noticeable. Sam boarded the bus and made his way to the back. Looking at everyone riding the bus Sam decided he would try the device on someone here, but who?
