Hey! I've been a longtime reader of this story, and upon reading the Alice Haines section I was struck with inspiration and decided to write my own. I highly recommend that you read the Alice Haines section as well as the Dave Haines sections, not necessarily before mine, just in general, as I thought they were both very well done. This story is entirely self-contained, though. Also, feel free to add to this story if you'd like! I have a few ideas for story branches but if you have any more feel free to add them yourself. Wait, how long have I been playing?

It's just past 8, and Emily has just realized that she's gonna be late to school if she doesn't get going ASAP. She threw on a clean pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Not the prettiest outfit, but whatever.

These kinds of late-night gaming sessions were not uncommon for Emily. As much as she regretted them the morning after, something like this would usually happen around once a week.

She quickly ran downstairs, right past her mom who was just headed upstairs to wake her up.

"Good morning honey! do you have time for breakfast or..."

"Sorry mom, no time. I'll grab something on the way out."

"Okay, have a fun day at school!"

Emily is an 18-year-old girl with mid-length brown hair and green eyes who had a particular affinity for computers. She'd worked all the past few summers to buy herself a top of the line PC, which she mostly used for gaming but she was also a competent programmer. But she didn't have time to think about any of that right now, she had to make it to her first class on time.

She got into her car and drove to the school as quickly as she could, just barely making it into the building before the first-period bell rang. The security guard, Daniel, covered his eyes to let her get to her class on time. Most of the guys wouldn't do that for her, but she'd had a few conversations with Daniel before and they were on good terms, so this was his way of paying it forward.
