East, over the mountains

"Let's go east then. Is it far?

Lon shook his head and they begin to make their way towards the east. A few hours pass by as they wander through forests and old ruins, dodging confrontations with machines as best as possible.

By noon they arrived at an abandoned campsite. The coal was cooled of and there were no tracks visible. Whoever was here must've left a longer while ago.
Lon guided them further up and to the top of the mountain.

The view was amazing.
To the southeast was the ocean. To the east were wide forests and ruins alongside a few more mountains. To the north were clouds. Big clouds.

"Fuck. Looks like there's a storm coming. We should seek shelter soon."

"Definitely. Look there is a plateau down there. Maybe we can find some protection there."

The two climbed down the mountain. That was harder than it sounds like, as they had to hurry to not be caught off guard by the storm, while also being careful not to slip and simply fall to ****.

When they finally climbed down to the plateau, they already had a hard time seeing their own hands. A lot of snow was falling already.
Suddenly Fara's shoulder was grabbed and she was pulled back. She screamed before someone put a hand over her mouth to make her shut.

At first Lon had trouble making out the outlines of his sister, but as soon as he did he sprinted after her into a cave full of men. He wanted to attack but they showed no sign of hostility.
Fara was sitting next to a small campfire next to a few other women.

"Who are you people?"
