Earlier and elsewhere

Lucy was at the head of the party as they came into the forest. She looked around expecting Mark to be clearing the area, but she didn't see him. She raised her shotgun expecting to hear the sounds of combat or Mark in some kinda trap. The others appeared and looked around in awe. Lucy racked her shotgun to get their attention.

Lucy: “ Attention newbs! This is the first floor of the labyrinth also called the tropical zone. If you could stop your gawking for a minute you may notice WE LOST A ORC!”

Esla and Tal'E were stunned. Sillica started digging while saying. “ Master this way!”

The rest of the girls started digging but Tal'E slammed her staff on the ground causing a mound of earth to rise into the air.

While everyone was distracted a monkey covered in red watched on while eating a apple. It watched as the women tearing through the earth at a frantic pace as it prepared to strike.

The monkey knew that Lucy was the number one target since her armor could cause him major trouble even if he used “that”. It waited until Esla, Lucy, Sillica, and Tal'E were grouped together then threw a bundle of mushroom at the group.

When Lucy was struck her armor immediately vaporized the projectile with a pulse. Unfortunately this spread the spores of the mushroom to the entire group.

Esla was unaffected by the low level **** but the rest weren't so lucky.

The spores Stuck to Tal'E's face and eyes. She struggled for a moment then went slack jawed.

Lucy was covered in a cloud of spores that sunk into every gap in her armor making its way into her.

Sillica thought nothing of the spores, but when they were absorbed into her skin she felt a overwhelming urge. One felt by all those under the control of the spores.

The fungi troop: “ we must get Mark!”

Esla whipped her guitar forward and hit a cord sending her flying in the air. She had heard of these mind controlling spores and knew that without a high level cleric the only way to get rid of them was to burn the main mind. She searched from the sky seeing a whole lot of green until red streak launched at her. Esla summoned a fireball and hurled it at the streak, there was a explosion but the streak was still floating in the air now revealed to be a monkey covered in red spores. Esla cast {fly} and readied for battle but was struck from behind! Tal'E and Lucy were firing spells at her as they flew through the air both of them covered in red. The monkey threw something at Esla but she dove down trying to get to cover. As she past the tree line she lit her tail ablaze catching the trees on fire in the process. Several more red monkeys ran out trying to put out the fire. Esla took the opportunity to shroud her self in { perfect unknowable} While also casting a illusion of her flying away while yelling for Mark.

Esla watched on as Lucy and Tal'E followed it.

Esla: “ What type of first floor is this?”

THE DEVIL: Why my dear I thought you may be bored with a basic forest so I swapped the the first and thirtieth floors. I would be more than happy to if you would sign a contract with me.”

Esla ignored the voice and ran. She only just made it out of the fire when Sillica dropped down from the trees. Not bothered by the slime on her head Esla set her whole body on fire Exploding Sillica. The Slime quickly reformed but didn't chase after Esla instead it flashed gold and the deep red turned light pink. Esla was stunned but was brought back to reality when the trees around her started to move.

Esla: “ Tal'E if you are in there know that I WILL take this personally!”

the trees grabbed Esla and ripped her cloths off
