Distance at first

By the time the family had gotten home John and his mother had calmed down. Once they walked in the door the Three of them all just sat down. Not a word was said, not a look was glanced. Silence. Eventually one of them spoke up.

"My feet hurt from that running. Heels suck." John's dad said kicking his shoes off. "Honey I'm going to need help adjusting to ya know. This." Waving her hands over her body.

"I think we all are going to need some adjusting. Although I doubt you will John." She said getting up to grab a drink.

"I am. So, sorry this happened. I didn't think she would involve you two. She said she wouldn't. Now look where we are." John said on the verge of tears. His father wrapped her arms around him. "There there kiddo, we will get through this. I just want you to know that we love you no matter what."John looked a his father and whispered "Thank you" and put his head up against his.

"You two are adorable" John's mom said. standing over them with two glasses of water in hand. Handing them over to John and his father she then squat down and put her hand on John's shoulder. "Your father is right John. We love you." She said. Leaving her hand there. John put his hand up to meet hers. It felt different though. His hands were more sensitive. He could feel the warmth of her hand more, she was softer. All the while John's father intertwined her hand with John's. Setting her water down she pulled John to her.
