Diana Defeated...

First Batgirl, now Supergirl. With two heroines missing, there was no way to keep it a secret from the rest of the superhero community. Everyone assisted in trying to find the two heroines. Superman had scoured the entire planet over a dozen times, analyzed every centimeter of Gotham City, and scanned every inch with his X-ray vision while Batman searched and did likewise from the ground-level.

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman received an anonymous letter claiming to know what happened to the missing heroines. It simply said:

COME ALONE. TELL NO ONE.

Of course, Diana did neither. Both Batman and Superman were on hand as she entered the old mining facility’s warehouse.

Unfortunately, the meeting place was well-chosen. The warehouse was built during the war, its walls thick, reinforced with steel beams and sensors that blocked surveillance. The old mine itself was originally used for lead, and years of residue and dispersement had made it a natural barrier from Superman’s prying eyes and X-ray vision.

Wonder Woman, fully expecting a trap, cautiously steps into the warehouse. Appearing to be alone, she looks around the abandoned facility. “Batgirl... Supergirl?” she calls out optimistically.
