Chapter 37 by Suvinceus Suvinceus

A few days later...

Delores in Disguise

August 14, 1979

As the moon rose to the sky, Slattery and Delores had managed to invite the rest of the Crescent Moons to their estate so that they could hold a meeting. Tonight, they were going to give the Corporate Crooks a taste of their own medicine.

Once all nine Crescent Moons sat at the dining table, the leader said, "I'm glad you would all show up, for we have some work to do at Old Town. Soon, we are going there to attack the Corporate Crooks, since Amy has managed to get information on the fact that they are throwing a party at their base."

Amy nodded, before Slattery continued, "Delores, I want you to go incognito as a prostitute and hook up with some of the Crooks. When the timing is right, reveal your true colors to them, and we get into the building."

Delores nodded her approval, as she was dressed for the occasion, wearing a sleeveless black dress, black stockings and red high heels. Even though she was in her forties, she still knew how to look good.

Back in the 50s, when she was young and carefree, she was also very flirtatious and playful around the opposite sex. When she first met Slattery, she believed she found her own Mr. Right.

He, on the other hand, was the son of a banker, and that he was very suave and cool-headed, never willing to compromise his stoic facade. When his path collided with Delores's, he knew it was destiny.

Near the end of the decade, they married after several years of dating (and a little "getting to know each other" as Slattery put it), and in 1961, they had their only child, a daughter named Lisa. And when the year 1974 came along, the doting dad while ambitious enough to form his own gang after some advice from Cyrus and the Gramercy Riffs.

"So, are you ready to get going?" Delores asked.

"Of course." Slattery replied, before he, along with the other Crescent Moons, exited the estate after he called a babysitter to watch over Cupcake.

Halfway there, the Crescent Moons managed to find the Gamers at Time Square, and Highscore and Pacman were willing to help out. "Who are the Corporate Crooks, by the way?" the Gamers's leader asked.

"The Crescent Moons and the Corporate Crooks have bad blood between each other since last year. It all started when three newcomers named Ripper, Marcie and Dr. Feelgood joined the Crescent Moons back in '77. However, as time passed, we did not tolerate their junkie lifestyle, since they also happened to sell cocaine and heroin, so we kicked them out in order to make sure that my daughter wouldn't be a **** addict like them. Unfortunately, Ripper and Marcie formed the Corporate Crooks to get us back, while Dr. Feelgood formed the South Beach Warlords." Slattery explained.

"That sucks, man. So, we're going to Old Town, right? To deal with Ripper and Marcie?" Pacman asked.

"Exactly." Slattery replied.

At Old Town, the Corporate Crooks were already throwing a party to celebrate the anniversary of their formation. While some catered to snorting cocaine, others preferred to inject heroin into themselves, but everyone else preferred to play the Atari 2600 or watching exploitation films.

Ripper and Marcie, on the other hand, were too busy making out on the couch, while one of their lieutenants, Skinny, was playing Indy 500 on the 2600 with a fellow Corporate Crook. The young lieutenant was described as being rather pale, with bags under his hazel eyes, and short but disheveled blond hair.

The jukebox was already playing music that catered to the Crooks's tastes, and some of the girls whom they invited over were busy dancing with a few of the guys. All in all, it was a party made for pure sin.

Outside the building, Lisa asked Delores, "Mom, aren't you gonna be careful?"

"Of course, dear. Don't you worry; everything will turn out well for all of us...except the Corporate Crooks, of course." the older blonde replied.

"But what about the Warlords?" Lisa asked.

"They should consider themselves lucky...for now." Delores said before she separated herself from the Crescent Moons and made her way to the Corporate Crooks's base.

Meanwhile, Ripper heard the sound of the front doors being knocked, and immediately got up, prompting Marcie to ask, "What the fuck?! And just when things were going so well!"

"Don't worry, I'll be back once I answer the door." he told her.

As Ripper opened the door, he was greeted by the sight of Delores standing there with a grin as she asked, "Hey, a few of my girlfriends told me about you guys; said you were having a party tonight. Mind if I come over?"

"Heh, sure. Why the hell not?" the dark-haired leader replied as he gave her an equal grin.

Delores then entered the room and investigated her surroundings; Ripper was too busy trying to get laid with Marcie, while the others were busy flirting with some of the other girls. Then she took notice of Skinny playing the Indy 500 game on the 2600.

As she approached the lieutenant, she asked, "Ever played it before?"

"I've played it a few times; you just gotta love racing games." Skinny told her with a small smile. "Hey, what's your name, by the way?" he asked her.

"I'm Veronica, one of the local hookers. I came here because my friends told me about you guys. So I decided to drop by and check this place out for myself." Delores, using the pseudonym Veronica, replied.

"Cool; hey, mind if you snort some lines with me?" he asked.

"No thanks. I'd rather see you do it...it turns me on." she said as she sat on his lap.

Skinny dropped the controller, surprised at Delores's actions, before he got up and let her sit on the couch as he went to the nearby coffee table that had lines of cocaine all over the place. She followed his lead, and watched with a look of seduction as he took out a small straw-like stick and began snorting the white dust.

As he continued, she couldn't help but fan herself, gyrating her hips as the sight of him injecting the cocaine into his systems was quite intoxicating to her. "Mmmm...seeing you take in that coke is so...so exciting." she said in a breathy tone of voice.

Outside the building, however, Slattery and the rest of the Crescent Moons were waiting to make their move, but now until Delores revealed her true identity. She knew she had to get the job done so that they could invade the Corporate Crooks's party and put Ripper in his place.

Approaching Skinny with a broad grin, the blonde leaned in to kiss him full on the lips, although she managed to wipe the white traces off his nose. Throwing him onto a nearby couch, she straddled him and was about to raise up his shirt, when she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "My name's not Veronica, by the way."

"What??" he asked, unable to hear her.

"I said my name's not Veronica, asshole!" Delores said before slapping him across the face.

Skinny was shocked and horrified, unable to say a word before the sound of the front doors were kicked open.

The party gets crashed...
