Definitely ask her

You spend a couple of minutes staring at the weird symbol-patterns before deciding it's hopeless. You have no clue even where to start.

Fortunately it's Elizabeth's job to help library patrons of which you are one and spending some time with Elizabeth would be no hardship.

You track her down at her desk and put on your best 'we're all intellectuals here' face.

"So, Elizabeth," you say, "I really appreciate you finding me this material but I can't make heads or tails of it."

She stares at you for a moment and you fight the urge to flee.

"Uh, so I was wondering if you could help me."

She sighs. "Fine. Let me get a notepad and I'll join you at your table."

A few minutes later, she appears, notepad in hand, and sits next to you as you flip to the Keys section of the document she'd found for you. You also open your laptop, bringing up a website you'd found that claims to have English translations of the Enochian 'Keys' which appear to be prayers or mantras of some type.

"Okay," she says. "Let's see what we have."

You're interested in what she has.

Sitting this close to her, you can't help inhaling her citrussy scent mixed with the scents of woman.

You do your best not to stare but you can't help noticing her white blouse... so proper and virginal at first glance, is open just enough to let you see the swell of her breasts. Although her face and hands are tanned, her breasts appear to be milky-white.

Your fingers itch to feel the softness of her breasts but you manage to restrain yourself.

"From the Aleister Crowley book," she says, "it appears that Enochian is used as part of a religion but with magical undertones. But it also looks like they keep a lot of the magic a secret. The book is like one of those ads that tease they'll give you all sorts of information but make you click forever without ever getting anything."

For you, girls were always like that... full of secrets they seemed to promise to reveal but never actually revealing anything. Still, you get where she's coming from.

"It turns out," Elizabeth whispers after spending a few minutes on her own laptop, "that Crowley founded an organization based on attaining levels, sort of like the Masons and, in fact, partly based on Masonic ritual. Do you have any interest in that?"

Do you?

You do, to some extent. You've always been intrigued by the concept of secret organizations and loved The DaVinci Code. But you certainly don't have time to embark on membership in secret organizations now and, even if you did, you wouldn't be allowed to use anything you learned in his stream.

"I'm more interested in whether Enochian really does have some practical use in transforming the universe," you admit.

"Well, I can't see anything here but it sounds like Crowley wrote a number of books. I could try to track down more of them for you."
