What’s the plan? Does something else happen?
Decide to simply walk home.
All in all, after thinking about things… you decide it might be best to just spend the next few hours walking: you know the roads - well enough, at least - and you think you could use the opportunity to clear your head and, perhaps, reflect on the letter and your schemes that landed you in this situation in the first place.
You grab your purse, stand up, look around one last time, and make your way to the sidewalk, to begin the long trek home.
Surely, it will be nothing but a peaceful and uneventful walk back home…
