A pair of 9s, & a possible straight. Jessica had to consciously stop herself from biting her lip. She'd played normal poker before with Nick & their mutual friends, so she knew what beat what. Also, despite projecting the persona of a dumb blonde, Jessica was actually quite intelligent, & knew the odds of drawing specific cards. She had a pair of 9s, which wouldn't be the winning hand, but stood a good chance of not being the lowest hand. Still, a straight definitely wouldn't be the lowest hand.
