Darkness

You find yourself in the black nothingness where you spend time inbetween **** and respawn. You've failed. You died. Now it's back to level one. Is this whole thing pointless? Is there no way to advance in this digital world? It's the only one you've ever known. You have no clue how long this world has existed. You've lost track of the updates, the bug fixes and restarts for server maintenance. Is this your fate? To be a level one creep for all eternity?

.....Dungeon reset initiated.....

Well, there it is. Time to be bashed by some hero.

As you leave the black void you notice two things, one, you're not in your usual spawn, and two, you have a staff.

Your staff has a purple orb atop it, grasped by a black skeletal hand. The rod seems to be made of obsidian, with a smaller purple orb at the bottom.

Quickly, you open the equipment menu and find your staff.

Skills:

Illusion: 10 MP Temporarily conceals the user from enemies. Lasts for 5 seconds for every point of the user's Mat minus 1 second for every point of the enemy's Mdf.

Soul crush: 10 MP Temporarily lowers the opponents Mat and Mdf by 50% lasts for the duration of combat.

Dark orb: 5 MP launches a dark orb of power towards the target, dealing twice the damage of a basic attack while taking twice as long to cast.

New Aura:

Soul Drain: Drains 1 MP/s from all enemies. Once all MP is drained, compatible skills are made available for the user's use.

You did it. You may have died but you took out the boss first, making you the new boss. You would have thought that since the dark orb killed you, it would have made it the boss again. When it died it must have lost the aura and didn't have the skill dark orb any more. So the attack then became your own. So technically, you killed yourself.
