Milkshake Malarkey
Dang it!
Jessica didn't have it in her to sensor her language like that.
"Shit... sorry about that Mr. Simmons."
"It's okay Jessie, you alright? You're a bit of a mess." Mr. Simmons chuckles.
"Ugh, god its ruined!" she huffs and sighs at her dairy-destroyed tee shirt. Annoyed and fed up with everything, Jessica acts out on her temper alone, "Ohhhh, screw this." Jessica lifts her shirt over her head, exposing her black, lacey bra to the surprised patron.
"Well golly! You sure ain't got many compunctions about yer state of dress, do ya, Jessie?" said the old man with another jovial chuckle.
"*sigh* To hell with compunctions... Not like it matters. What's Pete gunna do, fire me? The diner closes down on monday."
Mr. Simmons blinked in disbelief. "It does? Aw, but I love this place, been coming here for years..." never mind his waitress and former student was now standing in front of him with no shirt on, it was clear the sudden closure of his favorite diner was much more important.
"I know, Mr. simmons, but business is business. The place is hosed unless we can scrape together a ton of cash by next week."
"Damn..." It was the first time Jessica ever heard the old man curse, minor as it was. He sighed in resignation and said, "Well, Jessie, for what it's worth, it's been a pleasure having you as a waitress all these years."
"It's been like two years, man." Jessica dismissed with a sad smile.
Mr. Simmons smiled in return and said, "Here. Take this." as he slapped a one hundred dollar bill on the table.
the bra-clad girl blinked stupidly at the large bill, "...huh?"
"Your tip. For bein a real swell gal..." he said with a genuine smile, "and to buy a new shirt hopefully!" he said with another chortle. Mr. Simmons left and Jessica, now missing her shirt, just shoved the $100 into her bra. The crinkly cotton nudged against her nipple and it sent a shiver up her spine.
"Yo, Jess," inquired Greg's voice from behind her, making her jump. The shirtless brunette whirled around to see her co-worker looking at her in amused disbelief.
"What happened to your shirt, dude?" Greg asked scratching his head with one hand as he held a bus tub in the other.
