Zander's father touched his shoulder, "You see our family was cursed centuries ago to turn into vampires on our 18th Birthday. We are much like classical vampires. We feast on human blood, no pig or cow blood, that's gross. We are hurt by holy objects such as crosses and holy water. We can't age, but we can still have children. Young vampires such as yourself are still able to walk in the sun, but it weakens you. When you become as old as I am it will kill you instantly. That is why I work from home. Most importantly you lose your soul, becoming an unfeeling monster to everyone but your own kind."
He stood up and showed his fangs, "The upside? You get supernatural speed, strength, and endurance. Can heal super quickly if you have enough blood. And can entrance unwitting mortals. Also the sex is amazing!"
Zander sat up in shock. Looking down he could already see his tan skin was paler and his hair darker.
