Customers

The bell over the door rings as customers enter the diner. A father, a teenage boy, and a little boy maybe five years old.

To Lucy's horror, she notices the small child pulling on the father's hand and pointing towards the restroom. The father motions his older son to a booth and follows the young child towards the restroom.

Ducking back into the restroom, Lucy feels herself start to panic. "Why does the bathroom have to only be one room?" She asks herself.

Quickly she dives into the only stall and closes the door. A second later, the restroom door opens, and she hears the father and child enter.

"Alright, be quick now", she hears the father say. "We've still quite a drive."

The stall door rattles.

"Oh!" The father calls out. "Will you be long? My son really needs to go."

A feeling of dread hits Lucy as she calls back. "Just a minute."

Making sure the apron is tight, she slowly opens the door.

Lucy's embarrassed face is matched by the look of surprise on the father. She edges out of the stall as the young child rushes past her and closes the door.

Careful to keep herself facing the father, she edges around the room. She feels herself blushing and continues moving until she feels the counter of the sink behind her.

"I'm so sorry about this", the father apologizes, keeping his eyes diverted to one side of her.

After an eternity of Lucy and the father awkwardly avoiding each other's gaze, the boy finally finishes and rushes out of the stall. He runs up next to her and she shuffles aside to let him use the sink. For a moment, it almost feels like she has caught herself on something but she dismisses it.

Even in her awkward state, she had to admit the little blonde kid is a cutie. He can barely reach the counter to wash his hands or see himself in the mirror.

MIRROR! It suddenly dawns on Lucy that the apron may cover her front and sides but her lack of clothing must be blatantly apparent in the mirror.

With a yelp, she leaps away from the counter, trying to turn her back to the wall. She feels a tug at her waist, but she moves to quickly to realize her predicament.

Time seems to slow as she feels the fabric pull tight and loosen as the knot gives way. Her hands spring up to hold the apron against herself, but not before it pulls to the side to leave one of her breasts exposed to the cool bathroom air.

"Holy...", the father exclaims, while Lucy, blushing furiously, tugs the apron back across to cover herself.

"Miss do you need any..", he starts.

"No, please, just leave me!", Lucy replies mortified.

Gathering his son, the man hurries from the room, but not, she notices, without something of a grin.

"Can this day get worse?" She asks herself, leaning back against the cold tile wall.
