What KIND of Critter are you?
Critter (Brown Rat)
“Someday…” you think to yourself as you stomp furiously along the sewer wall, your feet making a light tapping sound against the slimy stone. Having just respawned after yet another ignominious ****, you aren’t quite sure where you are.
As a brown rat you’ve lived in the sewers all your life (or lives) and know them well, but you still find the random respawning disorienting. Today it’s even worse than usual. You don’t recognize this place at all.
You reach an intersection and pause. Standing up on your hind legs you sniff the air, trying to map your surroundings. The three tunnels seem almost identical in the darkness, each continuing on straight for as far as you can see (which isn’t very far).
There’s a slight draft from the right. Perhaps it leads to an exit?
Turning to your left you catch a whiff of something. Something sickly sweet. Food?

You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
