Courtney’s House

John has gotten up the nerve to ask Courtney directly. He decided after school would be the best. Less witnesses and he can keep hold of his dignity if she denies him.

Her house was a few blocks away from his so it wasn’t too much out of the way.

“I just have to ask her will she go with me to the prom,” he said to himself. “ It’s not like it’s difficult.”

He felt his chest pumping hard as he got up to the door and pressed the bell.
