Chapter 122

What has Hilda wraught upon these simple, innocent nuns?
Corruption from without and within
None knew it at the time, but the arrival of Hilda and Sally at the simple church would mark the beginning of the end for the nuns and their mission.
As Hilda and Sally continued to perform their daily chores, and Magdra continued to preach and insist upon enacting reforms to Geod's teachings, the nuns themselves started to change.
Little by little, their focuses began to shift more and more to their own... personal interests... and less on the upkeep and maintenance of their isolated community.
It was little things at first. The rigid daily routine and stuffy rituals demanded by the old teachings of Geod began to give way to the more free-spirited and love-focused ideas of the new teachings. Daily chores became things performed every other day, and then every third day, until they were lucky to be performed at all.
Instead, Magdra encouraged her sisters to contemplate Geod's teachings and express themselves. At face value, this was meant to encourage them to become more devout, improving their comprehension of their lord and his teachings, but really it was just an excuse for Magdra to spend more time watching Hilda and bossing her around.
As a result, the nuns became idle, and often bored, which would not have been enough to change them too deeply were it not for a certain book being passed around amongst the previously untouched and carnally unfulfilled women of the convent...
Oh dear, what effect does Hilda's romance novel have on the nuns?
