Chapter 7 by whizzper
Do they throw caution to the wind, or...
Cook arrives early...
Melissa and Miranda stared at each other. One nervous because of new feelings for someone she considered like an older sister. The other nervous because of time constraints, and an unwillingness to hurt someone she considered a younger sister in most respects.
"Uh...heh...Mel...uh...I don't know what I'm feeling exactly, my stomach though is doing loops..." Miranda said haltingly, shyly.
"I know the feeling Miranda..." Melissa answered.
The silence dragged on, Melissa's hands moved to where she assumed Miranda's nipples were. She was awarded with another low gasp from Miranda as she rubbed the area.
"Mel..." Miranda moaned.
Their heads moved closer, Melissa raising up off ger ass, Miranda bending down further.
Their lips millimeters apart...
A knock on the door caused them both to jump to their previous positions as the cook stepped into the room, "Hey Mel I'm here..." The cook stopped just inside the door. "Did I interrupt something?"
Miranda shook her head, "No, nothing really. Mel was just helping fix up my shirt is all. I dressed in a hurry this morning to make sure everything for this party goes good."
The cook looked between the two women. He had the look of someone that didn't believe what he just heard but had no proof to call them on it if he chose to. "Right...that's why I'm here too. Is my clothes on straight?"
Melissa, overcoming any embarrassment snorted, "Yeah they're fine. Now let's get the planning underway." Melissa said, turning in her seat to grab the menu's that Caitlin had picked out. "It's her eighteenth birthday, so there shouldn't be any alcohol serving to Courtney or any of her friends."
The cook took one of the menus, "Not like they ain't going to get something."
"I know, I was a kid too once upon a time. And Colin said he'd be having a champagne toast before the meal. That may include the kids. But that's it. I'm not risking the bar's liquor license for this party. They want to get their drinks on afterward, they can do that elsewhere, because it's not happening here." Melissa said. She could feel the confused stare of Miranda on her, but she did her best to maintain a business like demeanor.
The cook glanced over the menu, then looked up, "I better get started then." He said and left the two women again, but didn't shut the door to the office behind him as he made the left and moved towards the basement kitchen.
Alone again Melissa looked over to the fidgeting Miranda, "Hey." Melissa said gently.
Miranda bit her lip as she smiled slightly at her boss, "So...uh...what...I..."
"This is going to take some more discussion, Miranda. We don't have the time right now. But after the party I'm free, how about you?" Melissa said, her tone bordering between boss and caring older sister.
"I have nothing planned. I...I'll see you later, okay?"
"No problem." Melissa said with a what she hoped would be interpreted as a kind smile...and not a "I want to eat you until you squirt" smile.
Continue the meeting? Skip to the party? Skip to Melissa and Miranda later on?
