Confession

John kissed her and brought them both to his kingdom. It was now one of the scariest things he ever faced. He had absolutely no idea how she would react to any of this.

"Anna, before you open your eyes I want you to listen to me. I... I have never had the occasion to learn how relationships work, I have never been in one before. The only other time I thought I might love someone, something tragic happened that made it impossible to ever find out how it would have worked. You are an amazing girl and the only flaw I found in you is that you don't think of yourself as half as good than you are," he could sense her tensing up, the way he had started probably made her fear something awful. He quickly continued to clarify things.

"Now that we are together, I realize something. I love you, Anna Klein. I truly do. And with this love, the most wonderful feeling I've experienced, comes one of the worst. This sense of impending doom, the fear that I might lose you. And with it the realization that I should solve any issues that could lead to such an outcome. The fact that lies, the longer they last, secrets not shared, could create a divide between us and finally... So I've decided to be honest with you. I have things to tell you, things about me that you ignore. It will probably be a shock, but if you feel something for me, I ask that you at least let me explain myself. And remember that hurting you is the last thing I would ever want to do. You can open your eyes now!"

During this little speech, Anna's face had changed, blushing at times, anxious at others, he even spotted the beginning of a few tears in the corner of her closed eyes. John was holding her hands when she opened her eyes. She looked around, seeing the stone room, pedestal, glowing gem, floating orbs and the fact that she was no longer where she was when she closed her eyes, despite having not moved an inch.

"Wait! What the... How did we...?" she asked, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. She pulled back her right hand and punched him in the chest. She wasn't as weak and frail as most girls and John felt the sting of the hit.

"You... jerk! Never do that again! I thought you were trying to break up with me! Now will you please explain to me what the heck is going on?" she screamed at him.

"I... I would never... I was serious, I love you, but you can't imagine how scared I am right now. It started a week ago, when I woke up. My life was that of a pariah, a nerd, only interested in video games and... Well, porn too obviously. Something insane happened, I thought I was dreaming, that I was mad, or even dead. I woke up with powers, magic powers that worked like in a video game," he explained. To illustrate what he meant he let go of her other hand and charged his left hand with lightning while levitating gold coins above the other. Anna had not freaked out, first good point, she was looking at the magic around her with fascination.

"From this day, my life changed radically. Quests, achievements and even level ups allowed me to improve myself, become fitter, stronger, smarter... I made mistakes and did stupid things with my powers, but it permitted me to find you..." he explained.

"You got powers and we are in what? A secret magical lair? Why me? With magic I'm sure you can have any girl you want. Why me and what did you do to me?" she asked him. She was uncomfortable with compliments and unsure about her appearance, but she inherited her dad's spirit, she was taking in all the situation like a trooper until now.

"I'm... I'm actually sorry about this. If I knew there was even a real possibility of this happening between us, I would have been a lot more careful. I have a spell that can temporarily make people a bit more horny and I used it on you a few times at school when we were sitting next to each other. I also used a spell on you that increased your metabolism by a few percents, I loved you the way you were, I love you the way you are, but it broke my heart to see you hating yourself. I became able to see a score for each person, an approximative representation of their opinion of me. Not only did I already like you, you were the only girl that actually liked me before I changed. If nothing else happened, no powers, no changes, if only I realized that I had a chance and ended with you as my girlfriend, I would have been the happiest guy in school..." he couldn't finish explaining this, Anna's mouth was on his own and her arms around his neck. This part at least went better than expected, but of course the other thing remained. He wouldn't be able to introduce her to the other people here without the question of who he fucked being raised and he really wanted to be honest with her...

"Thanks, for so many reasons I've been feeling so much better since I've been with you. By the way, the thing in PE, was it a set up?" she asked.

"I was using my powers to deflect the balls coming at me. There was one aimed at your head that you didn't see, moving it away distracted me long enough to get hit..." he continued the explanation of various events while leading her outside, pointing out that from the moment she became his girlfriend he refrained to use magic on her, both to avoid suspicion, but also because this day would come where he would have to explain himself.

Anna was amazed at the flying islands and winged serpents flying over them, but also the simple view of this place teeming with life and small creatures. The discovery that time itself was sped up here made her smile. John hadn't had the time to consider it yet, but if spent here, a weekend would last three days rather than two and this number could increase even more in the future. Anna was walking by his side, holding his arm, looking at everything like she was at an amusement park. Soon their steps led them to the edge of the forest and closer to the the glade.

John was happily surprised by what waited for him there. Sylvia had covered most of her body with some sort of dress made of vines, foliage and flowers. Cali was wearing a lizard scale armor and had fashioned a skirt using one t-shirt John had left for her to wear. Vesta was wearing a shirt and shorts on top of her slime body suit. Their fashion sense wasn't the best, but they were clothed enough to at least avoid a scandal.

"My King, we have been awaiting your return. I will have some things to discuss with you later regarding what happened in your absence. My Queen, I am glad to finally meet you. King John spoke of you in such high terms. I am Sylvia, mother of the glade and first subject of your kingdom. With me are Cali and Vesta, two refugees that our brave king saved from unspeakable horrors. If you ever need something, just ask," said Sylvia, bowing to the young couple. John hadn't instructed her to do anything more than to be sure they were not naked when he arrived. He waited for Anna's reaction to this.

"I see why you were scared John. You're fucking them, right? Sylvia, am I right? And why call me a queen?" she asked, testing the obedience of her new subject.

"Are you not the mate of the king of this realm? It would make you a queen, no? I still understand little about the way animals do things, life is simpler among plants. I have on occasion asked to be intimate with our king and he was kind enough to give me this honor. I realize that it could have other implications among your own, I apologize if I did something to wrong you," apologized the dryad. Anna looked at John who was trying to resist the urge to panic, this kind of situation not being one where Gamer's spirit would help him.

"So you are a king and building a harem? With how many other do I have to share you? How many women have you fucked in a week before me?" she asked, she sounded pissed now. John tried to find a way to defuse the situation.

"It didn't start that way. Remember what I said about instant dungeons, how things could disappear once I leave them. Sylvia was a lot more powerful than me when I met her, the only way I survived fighting her after a misunderstanding was to use an artifact to capture her. Once here I offered her to grow her own forest and she liked it so much that she soon didn't need the artifact, which I lost since then. On an adventure in another realm, Sylvia was captured by lizardmen. Cali and some other elves helped me rescue her, Vesta, her sister was prisoner too. They had infused fire in Vesta and tortured Sylvia, worse when we rescued them the elves wanted to kill Vesta because of their taboo regarding fire. Bringing them here was the only way to save their lives," he explained.

"That's not all!" she said back.

"I was coming to it. Please, you have to keep those secret, not for me but for them. Ms Summers knew about my stories and because she had witnessed things like that before felt that I was special. She had invited me to her place before I even realized that we could be together and... I'm sorry, I'm a shitty boyfriend. I had fantasies about her for months, she invited me... I shouldn't have gone, but I think I would have hated myself if I didn't, at least as much as I do for doing this to you..." he confessed.

"You fucked June Summers? The woman everyone who knows her dreams about? Why can't I get mad at you? I mean, fuck! It was about this! The way she acted in class. She's trying to make me like her so you continue seeing her? Does she know about this?" she asked. The way she talked about it, she sounded more surprised than shocked about this situation, just like she had acted in class before. The thought of Anna and June in bed with him crossed his mind once again, helping him relax a bit in such a stressful situation.

"She thinks I'm blessed, I didn't confirm anything, didn't use magic with her either. And yes, I think she was trying to put that idea in your head. The last and actually first, is an older woman who taught me a few things. I can't tell you who she is though." he told her.

"Fuck! I knew it! It was crazy and made no sense to me. You banged your mom!" she said jubilant. John couldn't hold back his reaction of surprise, betraying the truth behind it.

"You knew? How? Did she...?" he stuttered.

"The way she talked about you at the spa, it was like she was jealous of me at times. And the rest of the time... Well, she was saying good things about you, but not really motherly ones. I guess you have a very good explanation about that one too. I know she is really hot, but she is your mom!" she reminded him.

"I just obtained the spell to make people horny and my dad was supposed to be back from his business trip this night. I thought I could test it on someone who wouldn't be attracted to me and that my dad would have a very good surprise coming home. It didn't seem to work at first and I stupidly used it a few more times. It's when she told me that dad wasn't going to come home for three more months,I knew that I fucked up badly on this one. Horny as hell and initially a bit attracted to me, she decided that I needed to be ready for when I would get a girlfriend and that she was going to teach sex to me through practice. You have to realize that at this point I was totally inexperienced and even if she was my mother, rejecting her offer was going against all I ever dreamed of. It continued a bit the next day but now it stopped totally. I wish things could be simpler, I wish I could have had the guts to ask you out weeks ago. I can't change the past, I can only hope that we have a future," he admitted, hanging his head in shame. This was the moment he feared.

"If I said I would only stay with you if you are only with me, would you accept it?" she asked.

"You want an honest answer... I probably would, I love you. But I wouldn't like it, it would create resentment towards you from others and I think it would end up poisoning our relationship. But I would be ready to try my best to keep you with me," he told her.

"You say you would do it even if it is a bad idea? And even admit that you might not be able to hold your word? You could have simply lied! You could have told me to go fuck off and grow your harem! Why?" she said, confused about the way he acted. John hugged her. For a moment the idea of staying here with her, forever, forgetting the outside world and every issue it contained crossed his mind.

"Anna, I love you. You are my first girlfriend, the first girl who ever made me understand that it was possible for someone to love me back... You are more precious to me than all of this! I don't want to lose you!" he told her, holding her tight.

This was now the pivotal moment, the most important dice roll of his existence. His fate resting on her reaction. He knew full well that if she left him, the blow to his mind would hurt more than any wound he had suffered yet.

He awaited her decision. Holding her a few seconds longer, in case he never got the occasion to do it ever again...
