Concerned

“My goodness!” the woman cried out as she looked down at Lauren in shock. “Where’s your mommy, little one?”

Lauren blushed a deep red. She had kind of figured that the woman would think she was a child, but that didn’t make it any less humiliating. After a few seconds, Lauren realized that the woman was waiting for an answer. “M-my mommy is on a business trip.” Lauren said, in the most childish voice she could come up with, “My big sister locked me out of the house in just my diaper.”

It definitely humiliated Lauren to say that, but she figured that if she was going to be humiliated like this, then she was going to make Vanessa’s life a nightmare too! Lauren smiled inwardly as she saw the woman’s face turn sour.

“Oh, she did, did she?” she asked, to which Lauren nodded as she forcefully quivered her lip. “Well then, I would like to have a few choice words with her! Where do you live?” She gasped as Lauren pointed to her house. “And she let you cross the street by yourself?! At YOUR age?!” Her face became dark as she said, “Oh, she is going to get it!”

Lauren inwardly smirked as she walked towards her mother’s house…only for said smirk to vanish as the woman walked up to her and held her hand. “Hold Ms. Mabel’s hand tight now, Sweetie.” The woman, whose name was Mabel, said sweetly, “You may have gotten lucky last time, but it’s very dangerous for children to cross the street without a grown-up.”

Lauren rolled her eyes. It may have been worth it to see Vanessa get her just desserts, but this was embarrassing the way this woman was treating her like a child. After Mabel looked both ways, she led the little diapered woman across the street to what she thought was her house. As soon as they got to the porch, Mabel rang the doorbell with an angry look on her face.

A few seconds later, Vanessa answered the door. “Hello, may I help – “

“Young lady!” Mabel interrupted, taking Vanessa by surprise. “How dare you do such an awful thing to your little sister?! Locking her outside where any sicko could abduct her! And not only that, but you locked her out of your house in a soiled diaper; not even bothering to change her!”

Lauren was confused at that remark as she looked down, only to blush as she realized that she had wet herself before walking over to Mabel's house!

“You should be ashamed of yourself!” Mabel continued, “I should call Child Protection Services on you, but I think I’ll just call your mother instead and let her sort this out! Give me her number!”

Lauren smirked as she looked over to her little sister. Vanessa was done for! Suddenly, Lauren’s smirk disappeared completely, replaced by a mixture of fear and confusion as Vanessa gave a smirk of her own. What did she have planned…?
