Close call

The blonde girl nearest you turns her back to you and opens a candy she just bought to share with the others. They talk about going to the pool tomorrow and then they all turn to leave. No one sees you and you realize you were holding your breath and you finally let it out. The girls voices are far down the hall now and you hear a door shut and everything is silent except for the hum of the soft drink machine and the ice that falls occassionally in the ice maker.

You start to doze again when you get an idea there may be a linen room or janitoral closet that might provide some towel or covering. You're getting numb butt anyway sitting on the hard carpet. You get up and massage your sore butt cheeks. Then you listen and decide no one is around so you head toward the elevators. You figure a quick look around and you will sprint back to the vending machines.

You see a few doors on the left of the elevators that may be what you are looking for, but they are locked. You start to cross the front of the elevators to check out the other side, when you hear the elevator ding. Your heart nearly jumps out your throat. Before you have time to think what to do, you see the vending machines halfway down the length of the hallway. There's no way anyone can run that fast. You are going to be caught right now. Your feet are already starting the sprint back to the vening machines with no hope of sucess, but panic makes you do something besides stand there looking naked and dumb.

The elevaor doors open and you can't help but glance back to see your eye witness to the most embarrassing momement in your life. But you see an empty elevator. You stop and look more just in case someone is in a corner, but no one sticks there head around to see you. You feel so lucky. Even with the elevator doors staying open, you start back to check out the doors to the right side of the elevaor you had noticed.

Then behind you a room door opens and female voices spill into the hallway. This propels you to leap into the elevator as your only option of escape. You can't think, you're so scare at this moment. You see the elevator doors start to close and a women's voice yells out.

"Hold the elevator please."
