Climb down the fire escape

A moment later you hear the old truck engine being started, and with little to lose you quickly make your way out the window and climb down the ladder on the wall outside. Even the metal bars are red with rust, and creaking precariously under your weight, you make it safely to the ground just as the truck is about to roll out.

There's no time to try and make contact with the driver, as it seems they're even looking back in the mirror, but you do manage to snatch one of the flower bouquets from the back of the lorry is able to get up to speed. Stealing flowers isn't really what you'd normally be doing, but with your current situation you guess that stretching the rules just a little wouldn't mean too much.

The roses in your hand doesn't look too special, but are nice and red, with a sweet smell that for a second threatens to overwhelm your senses while you hold them close to your face. You'd probably need to find a vase or something, or simply get rid of them before they start giving you allergic reactions.

Going up the same ladder as you came doesn't seem like an option, as you really don't know if it will hold for another climb, and so you find yourself heading out of the alley to the parking lot instead.

As per usual there's only three other cars around, your own one in included, though another can be seen by the corner of the nearby house.
