Circe, famous sorceress who'd served her own wicked goals since ancient Greece, had recently grown to hate Zatanna. The young beautiful mage managed to defeat Circe time and time again with the help of her Justice League companions. The proud, ancient witch did not like to be beaten. She also was an incredibly vain sorceress, and was jealous of Zatanna's beauty. She'd often heard Zatanna referred to as 'the most beautiful sorceress in the world'. This infuriated Circe to no end. She vowed to teach the young upstart a lesson she'd never forget!

Circe was incredibly powerful. She could manipulate minds and cast illusions. She could also alter matter, and was most well known for turning people into animals, as in the Greek myth the Odyssey (yes, that was her). Beyond that she could cast fire and energy bolts. She was also an ancient immortal and nearly impossible to harm.

Circe decided to attack Zatanna. When would she begin her **** against the young mage?
