But before you could answer her, Chet exits the bedroom. He is fully clothed, all smiles, and looking around as if he is about to ask for directions. You see Jane look over him with a bit of confusion, but she manages to keep quiet.

"Hey Jane, thanks for your help earlier. We really appreciate your advice." Chet pats you on the shoulder, all grins, nothing but friendship stuck between his teeth. "You have a good girlfriend, John. You should be proud of her." You manage to mumble something like 'thanks', and by now you've forgotten that Jane is naked. You begin to wonder if it matters.

You and Jane, who is also fully clothed now, see Chet and Jess to the front door. Jess thanks you for letting them over. You tell her that it had been Jane's idea but that she was welcome anytime. You glance at Jane and see that Chet was withdrawing from her, as if he had just been very close.

The two friends (were they your friends, too?) leave.

"Did Chet kiss you just now?" You ask.

"Yeah," Jane says. "Oh, don't be so jealous. That's just how men say goodbye in his culture. Really, you can be so clingy sometimes."

"Oh. Sorry..."
