Check on Tom

"Shit." Your hand clenches your phone.

"What is it?" Sarah asks.

"Matt's not there."

"Guess we're breaking in then."

"Do we really have to?" Miranda interjects.

"You got any better ideas?"

"Yeah. Don't summon a ghost in the first-"

"Oh shut up."

You let out a sigh. "Well, if its what we gotta do."

"C'mon. I've got some things in my room that might help."

"Wait. Should we check on Tom first?" Miranda asks.

"Sure. We can do that on the way."

You follow Sarah out of the attic. As you head downstairs, you wonder if Tom has already gotten back up? What if he's waiting for you with a kitchen knife in hand? Even worse, what if he breaks out and goes on a rampage? As you near the kitchen, you find the answer to your questions: Tom is still ****, much to your relief.

"You know, maybe we should tie him up?" Miranda says.

"Ohh, I didn't know you were so kinky." Sarah teases, to which you chuckle. "I'll go get some cuffs."

Sarah heads off to her bedroom, leaving you alone with Miranda. She leans against the kitchen counter and looks to Tom.

"You think he'll be okay?" She asks.

"Hopefully." You put an arm around Miranda in an effort to comfort her.

"I'm scared John." She confesses.

"It'll be okay. Once we get another planchette, we'll get rid of this ghost and we'll be safe."

"I hope so."

That's when Sarah comes back into the room, with a duffle bag and a smile. "Alright, got our crime supplies right here."
