Chapter 6

Vanessa watched and Angie Turner head down the hallway. Then she turned around and started out the other way.

"Get out of the way!"

Vanessa turned back around and saw Monica, Mr. Witherspoon's assistant, and two young staff members hurrying towards her.

"What's going on?"

"Mrs. Colby's had an accident," Monica said.

"Oh my! What sort of accident? Is she okay?" Vanessa said.

Monica stopped, while the young staff members kept going. Monica hated Vanessa. Thought she always treated her boss, Mr. Witherspoon, horribly all the time. However, she knew just how valuable of a member she was, and thus was inclined to humor her.

"I don't know really. I think she didn't make it to the bathroom in time. Poor old girl. She's positively hysterical from I've heard."

"Oh that's just awful," Vanessa said, placing a gloved hand to her mouth. "Please go on, I won't hold you up a moment more."

"Thank you, Miss English," Monica said and hurried on.

Vanessa kept that gloved hand over her mouth for a moment. Once Monica was out of sight, she started to laugh. A lot. A very high pitched sort of guffaw with occasional snorts. Certainly not lady like!

Filled with glee, Vanessa pulled out her cell phone and dialed.

"Vy! Vy! Violet! I have to tell you! ...I am a genius. ...No really. You won't believe what happened. I talked Mr. Witherspoon into giving Mrs. Colby a laxative and you'll never guess... I just heard she shat herself right in the Woody! Hahaha, can you believe it? Oh my God. ...I know ...I know ...Maybe they'll finally send her off to a home now. We need to get rid of fossils like her. ...Oh! And let me tell you. That disgusting Angie Turner came to ME for advice. ...No ...No you won't believe it. She asked me why the club has turned against her. ...No, I didn't her that! But she's clearly concerned. And I very politely suggested that maybe she doesn't fit in her. ...I did! Yes, I did! ...Oh yes, that is definitely going to plan. ...She'll be gone very soon. ...I have Danny working on that. ...Well, I shouldn't say. ...All I tell you is that something is going to end up in her possession that doesn't belong there. And she'll be gone like that slutty redhead. ...Oh yes, and let me tell you how good it'll be to not have to look at the degusting big round booty of hers any more. ...I think she's just eating so much and that's where it goes. ...It's shameful!. ...Okay, okay, I'll let you go. Ta ta, Vy!"

Vanessa put her phone back in her purse and finally exited the hallway.

After she was gone Angie Turner, having heard everything, popped out of a doorway. She had stepped in the doorway when Monica came by and stayed in to eavesdrop on her conversation with Vanessa and check her emails.

And now she knows exactly what Vanessa is up to.
