Changing the Watch

"Hey Thror," you whisper, approaching him from behind. He looks startled as you sit down next to him, though he seems... pleasantly surprised?

"Oh, hey Rosa. I was going to let you sleep for a while longer." You do not know if it is the action you had just witnessed or what but Thror looks irresistible right now. Framed in the low light of the moon, his strong features make him look so statuesque. It is making your already wet pussy ache even more!

"Oh, well I got woken up so I just thought if I'm up I might as well relieve you." You cringe at the double meaning of your words, though you'd be lying if you said it was completely unintentional.

"I don't blame you. Richard certainly is a... loud lover." Thror blushes at the statement, though it is not long before both of you fell into soft laughter.

"Tell me about it!" You agree, trying your best to keep your voice low. You decide to omit the antics of the twins, respecting their privacy. "If the witch hasn't heard us by now then she never will!" Thror seems to grow more serious at the mention of the witch, shifting his gaze back to the treeline. You can tell something is on his mind, and you have an idea of what it was. "How is your wound?"

"I barely feel it," he replies, smiling. "It shouldn't have been necessary but your healing magic is something else. My brother and I are lucky to have you!"

Your cheeks grow red at the compliment, though you frown at his other comment. "What do you mean 'shouldn't have been necessary?'"

His face hardens, his eyes refusing to make eye contact with you. "It's unacceptable I let myself get injured like that. If the two of you hadn't gotten over in time..." He trails off, internally beating himself up over his weakness.

You slide a bit closer to him, looking up at the half-orc with kind eyes. "Thror, it's alright. Everyone goes down sometimes. Remember when you had to save me from the gnolls?"

He shakes his head. "You don't get it. What happens if I go down? Who looks after Dukash? Who looks after you?" Thror is trembling at this point, the strong barbarian seeming so ****. "I can't let you guys down."

You lay a soft hand on his shoulder. He winces away from the touch at first, but eventually relaxes. You squeeze his muscular shoulder for a few moments before speaking up. "It's okay to rely on your friends. Neither of us thinks you let us down. You are the strongest leader I've ever known." You shift so you are kneeling next to him, bringing your face up to his level. "You are the tank. It's alright to take a hit, that's literally part of your job. I'll be there to heal you. That's my job. To take care of you..."

Thror turns his head to look at you, his dark eyes gazing deep into yours. You seem to have an entire conversation in silence, each seeing the other in a new light. You cannot even put into words the feelings running through your mind, through your body. You realize with shame that you do love him. Not in the same way as Dukash, but just as deep. And you can see he loves you too, though he does not want to. You can see the resistance to the idea in his eyes, the **** to admit it to himself.

You make the first move without thinking. Leaning forward, you capture his lips in your own. The kiss is soft and tentative, both of you unsure what exactly was happening. And then, for just a few seconds, you feel it. Thror kissing back, giving in to the embrace. Returning your passion with his own. However, like all good things, it does not last.

Soon after, he pulled back from the kiss. You stared up at him with bated breath, waiting to hear what he has to say. The words never come, though. He can barely even look at you as he grabs his battleaxe and retreats into the farmhouse. You watched him go, the half-orc not looking back as he escapes down the hallway. All you are left with was the warm feeling on your lips.

You immediately regret the stolen kiss. What were you thinking! You are dating his brother!!! How could you cheat on Dukash like that! You still love the bard and the idea that you just betrayed him weighs heavy in your heart. Not only that, but if he ever finds out it would drive a wedge between the two brothers. You cannot believe you had just done something so selfish!

Closing your eyes, you try to push those thoughts out of your head. There will be time to figure this out later. Right now, you have a job to do. Taking a deep breath, you gaze towards the treeline and begin your watch.
