Carly

You immediately looked back up to Carly while peered over to you for a moment, before fully turning to look at you once again. The short woman gave you another small smile as you smirked at her. Without a word you stepped around the RV, moving past both Lilly's door and Katjaa on the couch, quickly making your way up the back stairs to the second floor of the motor inn. As you rounded the corner of the wall, you found Carly stepped away from the railing, standing to face you, "Hey, John,"

"What's going on," You replied while giving the girl a once over, "You feeling alright?"

"We're almost out of food and medicine, Lee and Kenny have been gone for over an hour now, it's Ben's turn on watch, and we haven't even had Lilly's explosion yet," Carly sarcastically listed off, "Yeah, I'm great,"

"Ah," You chuckled back while walking over, leaning against the railing to look out at the forest, "Well...you also forgot to mention the bandit attack, which could happen today too," You said receiving a breathy laugh from the woman as she took a position next to you,

"Right, can't forget about them either," Carly smirked, "You'd think by now, they'd run out of ammo, right? I can't be the only one thinking about that,"

"I'll bet they probably are, what's surprising me is the fact that they haven't turned on each other yet," You replied with a small shake of your head, "It's like the only reason they're still together is the focus on us,"

"Well, maybe we should leave with Kenny then," Carly muttered out before smirking, "At least for the weekend, take a small road trip, let the bandits sort each other out before coming back to our comfy roach motel,"

"It'd be a cramped ride," You grinned, "I'd miss our beds too, only have a small couch in that thing. Not to mention how familiar we'd all have to get with each other,"

Carly's brow slightly raised, "Yeah, I guess you're right," The woman mumbled as her eyes remained locked on yours, "Sharing some tight quarters, sleeping space, I'd probably have to pick a sleeping buddy, that way I don't end up next to Lilly,"

"What? Come on; you don't want to curl up with Lilly at night?" You jokingly asked causing Carly's face to scrunch up in disgust,

"Ugh, John, shut the hell up," She replied with a playful shove,

"Fine, so what, gonna curl up with Ben, then?" Carly narrowed her eyes, silently warning you to stop with the teasing, "No? Kenny? Duck? Clem?" You rapidly asked with a wide smile, though Carly continued to give you a dead eye, "Me?" You finally asked causing the girl to blink a few quick times and her cheeks to turn rosy, "I think we have a winner," You softly stated while leaning in towards the woman,

"U-Uh, John...I mean, let's be honest here..." Carly stammered out,

"I am serious," You interrupted, "If we end up on that RV, you and I will be curling up together every night, is that a problem?"

"John..." Carly muttered under her breath, taking a small step back, clearly unsure how to respond,

"How about we get a little practice in?" Carly's eyes snapped up, wide and shocked at this, "Why don't we practice in your room first, learn how to get close?" Carly's lips parted, but she seemed unable to reply, "Come on, it'll be fun, and besides, what else is there to do here, hmm?" You asked as you finally closed the gap between you and Carly, "And let's be honest, could this make things anything worse?" You added on while Carly let out soft, quick breaths as she felt your body gently bump hers.
