Captured by the city guard!

Whirling back towards Morina, you see her already several yards ahead of you, running full-tilt away from the brothel and out of the district. You waste no time, dropping several, heavier pieces of armor you're wearing and begin sprinting to catch up to the young wizardress.

The guards are relentless though, with the numbers to keep hemming you in. Every second corner you turn, another patrol of golden-armored guards materializes ahead and you are **** to change direction. Somewhere during the chase you also lose sight of Morina - No doubt the girl knows the streets and alleys of this city better than you do - and you end up completely lost.

The pursuit finally ends when you crash into a trade cart, filled with silks and carpets, whilst trying to avoid trampling over two children playing in the street. Head spinning, but generally unharmed, you **** yourself back to your feet and turn to move, but the guards encircle with their spears levelled at your chest. You slowly raise your hands in defeat and let them take you prisoner.

Exhausted from running, you offer no resistance as the guards take you through the streets of Elohin, up a narrow slope near the center of the city, to some sort of holding compound.

The walls are a dusty gray color and stretch nearly twenty feet in the air, making it impossible to see inside except when the large metal-banded doors swing open. As you are pushed deeper into the compound you can make out shapes to your left and your right. People and creatures from an assortment of races are chained up and imprisoned inside large holding cells, at least a dozen to a cell. No doubt these are the '**** pens' that you heard about yesterday.

You are led even further to the entrance of an underground building, stretching at least three levels deep and a quarter mile wide, ringed by a barbed wire fence. Down flights of stairs and through dimly-lit corridors the guards silently take you, until a non-descript wooden door with metal bands stands in front of you.

One of the guards pulls out a set of keys and swiftly unlocks and opens the door. The inside of the cell is almost completely black, with only a little of the orange torchlight shining inwards.

Suddenly, an explosion of pain hits you in the back of your head, and you are thrown inside the cell. Your vision swims while you try to make out your surroundings, but you lack the strength to find your bearings. Sprawled out on the stone floor, the last thing you hear before blacking out is the sound of the prison door slamming shut.
