Captains Log.

The search party had secured the logs and found the source of the tradition deep down in the bowels of the U1226. The compartment that the radiation was coming from was empty but there were scratch marks on the floor suggesting crates had been stored there. Captain Bhanoa said a few words to remember the dead crew then the party suited up and headed back to the Unison. The last act for Cmdr Jonas was to seal the cave with explosives and once back aboard Unison and after checking the area was clear he remotely detonated the explosives that brought down the cave roof.

The salvaged logs and artefacts were sealed in protective containers and Unison turned and headed back to her base so that the team could be picked up. Two days later after an uneventful journey, they docked back at Scapa Flow and Cmdr Jonas and his team departed. The off duty crew were given shore leave and the Unison was restocked with provisions ready for her next patrol. Captain Bhanoa compiled her log and had some supper before asking Cmdr Grater to join her and when she arrived Captain Bhanoa threw the lock on the door.

Captain Bhanoa and Cmdr Grater marched onto the Admirals office and saluted and were then told to have seats. Also present was the Admirals secretary and Cmdr Jonas. The Admiral informed Harinder and Helen that the logs from the U1226 had been translated. They would be given copies but the summary was that U1226 had sailed with orders to transport ten crates of uranium and ten cases of plutonium to Japan. About ten days into the voyage the U1226's captain spotted a neutral ship.

They offloaded the cargo onto the neutral ship then dived and headed away from the area. Sometime later they received a message to rendevous with a raider which they did. Two Gestapo and two ss officers boarded and after they found that the crates and cases had gone arrested the captain. The rest of the crew were ordered to the secret cave where they refused to give up the location of the crates and cases. Hence they were executed and the submarine was sealed shut it was only then that the Gestapo and ss found the log and discovered the fate of the crates.

Unfortunately in executing the crew, we had to wait for the supply submarine to come and take us back. The admiral then added that they surmised due to the fact that the war had ended two weeks later they were forgotten. The ship the crates had been loaded onto was the SS Frispania a Swedish merchant ship of around 2000 tons. She had unfortunately been sunk on her way to South America. Sunk by who know one new but they were scouring mission logs from all allied subs in the Atlantic at the time the ship was sunk.

The new mission was to find the wreck and recover the crates and captain Bhanoa asked why they were so important. The admiral informed her that there had been chatter on the dark web that a group of terrorists were in the market for nuclear materials. They could not get any from legitimate sources as it was too strictly governed so the wreck was of special interest. So Unison's new orders were to head into the Atlantic and find the Frispania and recover the crates. Cmdr Jonas and his team would be responsible for the recovery. This mission was top secret and o;y the four of them knew the details.

The spy had been listening in to the meeting and sent a secret message to his handlers.
