Can I take you and your sister for a drive?

"You busy today?" Shasta asks you. She runs her tongue over her lips.

You catch a motion in the window blinds. Sarah is keeping an eye on you.

"Not at all," you say. "I'm on break, I don't have to be anywhere." You stretch lazily. "I'd love to take you and Sarah for a drive," you say. "I hate the idea of you two trapped here without any way to get around."

"Sarah?" Shasta asks, looking at you.

"You'd leave your sister stranded?" you say. You wave at the window, then beckon.

Sarah comes to the door. "Need something, Tom?"

"Your sis asked if I was busy today. I'm free, love to take you both for a drive or something. It's really nice out for this time of year."

Sarah blinks at you, then looks at Shasta. Some unspoken communication lasers back and forth on their gaze and the twitching of their lips.
