Camilla's Pretty Handmaid

A young woman, a castle servant by the simply servant garb she wore, steps out behind the pillar. "Greeting, your highness." she says before bowing. She is a pretty creature, you find her to be. Brunette hair long enough to have reached down her lower back. Beautiful and bright green eyes. A physical trait some nobles would consider to undeserving on a peasant girl. But not you though.

Camilla dries her tears and takes a few deep breaths in so she can talk without sobbing. "This is Dorothye. To most people, she is my personal servant girl, my handmaid. But to me, she is my most faithful companion and trusted friend since we are two little girls playing within the castle." Camilla smiles at the happy memories and Dorothye blushes at her friend's praise. "I have grown accustomed to her friendship and her company. She is like my other half."

Dorothye adds most fondly, "As she is mine."

She holds Dorothye's hand in her own as she looks at her. "I would make sure she accompanies me to your court if we marry." Camilla then turns to you again and explains her solution, "You're probably wondering by now how does she solve our problem. Dorothye comes from a large family. The second eldest girl of her mother's eight children. Her older sister has just given birth to her third child. If she is anything like her mother and sister and nothing like me," she turns away sadly but slowly looked at Dorothye again, "she will be wonderfully fertile." For the second time, Dorothye blushes.

Your face hardens as you are starting to suspect Camilla could be proposing.

So Camilla then drops it on you, "I take the position of your wife and I'll do everything that is expected of me. But Dorothye will give you your heir. Now I know sounds ridiculous, maybe even a little insane but I've heard rumors of it happening so it could work. Dorothye will carry your child while I fake a pregnancy. Several if need be." She stops, out of breath.

Dorothye notices the look of skepticism on your face and steps forward a bit to talk. "My King, this is not some sort of test or some cruel deception. Lady Camilla meant everything she said and I am fine with it. I would do anything and everything for Lady Camilla. She is too wonderful a girl for me to do otherwise. Please, consider her words."
