Chapter 42 by robyna

What do you decide to do with your evening?

Call Jackie

You decide to call Jackie.

"Jackie? It's Mike."

"Oh, hey Mike. You want to work out?"

You screw up your courage. "Actually, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out."

"Like... like a date?"

"Uh, that's the idea."

"I don't date clients."

"Yeah, I know. That's one reason I'm not a client. The other being I don't have any money, of course."

"Wow, you make dating sound so attractive."

"I didn't figure you were the kind of girl who's looking for a sugar daddy."

She laughs. "Fine. I've got a softball game. You can come and be my cheerleader."

That isn't exactly what you had in mind. Chances of getting any girlie-action at a softball game seem next to nothing. Still, if the three date rule holds, you won't be getting any action on the first date anyway.

"I take it that isn't what you had in mind. So we can--"

"No, no. I'm all about being your cheerleader."

"Great. I'll text you directions."

An hour later you arrive at the park where the softball game is being held.

Jackie hadn't mentioned that it's a girls' softball league which makes it definitely more appealing.

"This is our side," she says. "I see you didn't wear your little skirt."

"Nope."

"Good. Hey guys, this is Mike. He's our cheerleader tonight."

The girls call out welcomes and Jackie lets you sit at the end of the dugout bench.

"I'm the only guy here?"

"Yeah, I don't understand it either. Martie over there is single, by the way, if you're interested."

"Actually, I was interested in you."

"Oh. Yeah, I'm single also."

That has to be her choice, you decide. She looks great in her uniform... a pair of short shorts with kneesocks, her cleats, and a skin-tight shirt that's cut high enough to leave a good four inches of toned abdomen between her shorts and the start of the shirt.

"You look great, by the way."

"Thanks. You look... well... like you're improving."

"Baby steps, I guess."

"I'd say a little more than baby steps. Oh, time to get started. We're the away team so we bat first."

Do you cheerlead?
