Burning some grass! (and leaves, trees, etc.)

Geralt tried to strike a heroic pose in front of the wall of flame separatin the two of them from around seven Nekkers. "Hey Geralt! Enough with the poses, get to it already!" Shouted Vesemir as he faced down another two Nekkers that had spawned from the nest.

"Right, sorry about that, thought I would show off in front of my old master."

"Yeah, yeah. Show off all you like, I'd still drub you in a fight."

"Probably." Muttered Geralt under his breath.

"It doesn't matter if you burn the whole damn forest down, if we don't get the nest, they'll just keep coming!" Shouted Vesemir over the crackling of the burning leaves and grass.

"I'll get these Nekkers beyond the fire, you get those on your side and we'll converge on the nest. I've got the grapeshot here, this got out of hand quicker than I thought it would!" He shouted back to the old Witcher.

"Well the Igni didn't really help things!" Vesemir shouted as he stared down the warily approaching Nekkers. Geralt heard the rumble of thunder in the distance, and hoped that the accompanying rain would be enough to put out the fire of his creation.

"Rain Vesemir! I'll blow the flame in their faces now, deal with those on your side now!" Geralt said as he used Aard to blow the growing flame into the Nekkers who had been trying to find space to get past the fire. The screams of the burning, dying Nekkers sickened Geralt, but he was brought back to reality by Vesmir's shouts. Geralt drew his sword and spun to the direction of the voice willing to rush to his masters aid. He looked around and saw two dead Nekkers and ran to the source of the voice, where he saw Vesmir battling three Nekkers with his expert sword skills. "Vesemir, get out of there! I'm throwing the grapeshot!" Vesmir appeared to have been struggling against the Nekkers, but when he saw Geralt he nodded in his direction smiled, and went on to blow his mind. Vesemir used Axii to stun a Nekker and didn't hesitate to lop off its head, he then parried a slash from one of the Nekkers claws before stabbing him through the chest. He saw that the last Nekker was already in the process of attacking him, so he used Quen to cast a protective spell on himself. Once the Nekker hit the protective invisible shell, it was stunned and stumbled back, at which point Vesmir stabbed him in the chest, removed the sword and lopped off its head.

"Throw it!" Vesemir yelled as he leaped out of the way, rolled and came to his feet. Geralt threw the grapeshot bomb towards the nest, where a number of Nekkers had just spawned to protect it. Geralt followed the arc of the lit bombs as it travelled over the outstretched hands of the Nekkers trying to protect their home, before landing in the middle of the nest and laying there for a couple of seconds. Enough time for Vesemir to make it over t where Geralt was standing "I'd find some cover. The explosions have a way of disorienting you." Said Vesemir. Geralt hid behind a tree and waited, sure enough the explosion came along with a blinding flash of light. When Geralt had regained his senses, he peeked around the tree and saw the remains of the nest.

"Well that's done." Said Geralt as he found Vesemir.

"Hardly. The fire is still raging, and this rain isn't really slowing things down." Vesmir noted. Geralt looked around and saw that Vesemir was right, the rain wasn't slowing down the fire all that much. Just then an owl came and perched on a branch right beside Geralt's head. Geralt didn't really pay much attention to the owl, or the fact that it was blindfolded.

"I really don't know what to do about this one Vesemir." Geralt said scratching his head, staring at the forest fire that was raging in front of him. The owl swooped in on him and took a nibble of his ear.

"Ahh! What the hell?" Geralt said drawing his sword and pointing it at the owl.

"Oh put that away Geralt. I was simply greeting you." Said the owl.
